DAILY WEATHER REPORT FOR ODISHA STATE, DT.20-05-2012

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 0830 HOURS IST:-

Heat wave conditions prevailed over some parts of interior Odisha.

Maximum temperatures have crossed 40.0°C over most parts of Interior Odisha and at isolated pockets of Coastal Odisha.

Rainfall has occurred at one or two places over Odisha. Chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms are  Gunupur=2; Bhuban,Paralakhemundi,Koraput and Malkanagiri=1 each.

Yesterday’s maximum temperatures changed little over the state. They were above normal by 2-5°C over many parts of Interior Odisha and near normal over rest parts of Odisha.

The highest maximum and the lowest minimum temperature 45.5 oC  and 22.9 oC was recorded at   Titilagarh  and G.Udayagiri  respectively  in the plains of Odisha.

 OF 22-05-2012:- Light rain or thundershower may occur at one or two places over the districts of Odisha.

OF MONDAY:-Partly cloudy sky. Thunder cloud may develop towards afternoon / evening. Maximum and Minimum temperature will be around 42 deg cel and 28 deg cel respectively on Monday.
